Chateau Reverie

This is an exquisite antique pair of cotton tulle net curtains heavily embellished with intricate florals and scrolls in handmade battenburg and tambour work. The design runs down the front borders on the sides that meet in the middle, and along the bottom. The inside edges and bottom have a 1″ battenburg picot edging. They look as if they are etched on the window. Outside edges are a plain hem. 

Each panel measures 42″ wide and 106″ in length with the hand-turned, loosely-basted 3″ rod pocket included in the length. 

In good condition with a few net repairs, hand darning, some small holes to the net around the rod pockets, otherwise good for their age…..approx 90 yrs old. The colour is an aged ivory.

Heirloom quality with a French chateau feeling. We have two pairs available…. very rare to have these days.
