Soutache
This is a pair of romantic long tulle 1920s curtains often seen in Europe on tall windows with shutters, hand worked with soutache embroidery. The soutache is made of an applied cotton yarn that embellishes three sides with larger motifs near the bottom, giving a raised effect. In wonderful condition, save for a darned area near the bottom. There is a slight variation in the color of the tulle, varying from lighter to slightly darker cream hues, which does not distract from the loveliness of the curtains. They each measure 23″ wide x 102″ long with a 2¼” rod pocket.
